Located somewhere in America and on a mountain, West Academy is pretty much secluded. The six houses are six separate buildings that are located on the academy’s grounds. They serve as dorms for the students (yes, they are coed) while the staff live in a nearby town. The town is basic with the only real interesting place being the mall.

The academy was built in eighteen something and it was made to look like a castle. The land around it contains mainly of forests although there is a lake. Students aren’t supposed to go on that lake due to a near death of a student when he fell through the ice. Depending on the month, the weather varies and the academy does receive the four distinct seasons.
